ChambresSweden: Sustainable Sensuality & Feminine Ease for the New Normal

Meanwhile, a Swede with a past as the owner of a popular lifestyle salon Chambresseparee in the heart of Stockholm, Sandra Näsström, is shaking off the world’s worries and creating a whole new normal – far from the norms of throw-away fashion.

The creation of her lingerie loungewear brand, Chambres, resulted from the sheer comfort and feminine appeal of an underdress named Natalie, which remains a best-seller today.
With luxuriously silky kimonos, dresses, and loungewear, Chambres offers a sense of ease, elegance, and sensuality—even at home, when nobody’s watching.

The natural fabrics feel lush yet light, enclosing your body without restriction. “Chambres is like a second skin. Clothes should embrace you, making you relax and feel beautiful,” says Näsström.

In contrast to mass-produced garments, Chambres relies on a handful of family-owned businesses throughout the Baltics—chosen not because it's cheaper but safer and wiser.

“In an increasingly anxious world, it is wiser not to veer too far from home to find sustainable collaborations,” Näsström explains.

The Easy Care/Easy Wear philosophy ensures garments are comfortable and glamorous, adaptable for any occasion.

A Capsule Collection concept means four or five versatile items create a functional, enjoyable wardrobe, allowing flexibility and surprise. Imagine a nightdress beautiful enough to wear for a spontaneous nightcap with a neighbor—this captures the essence of Chambres.

2015 Chambres was nominated Designer of the Year by Habitat, yet today the concept resonates even more strongly.

There's a growing demand for effortless elegance. “People appreciate comfortable garments that work anywhere, all the time. We call it ‘loungerie,’ lingerie stepped out of the bedroom,” Näsström notes.

Chambres is represented by high-end department stores like Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) in Stockholm and Gothenburg, alongside boutique Ströms in Stockholm.

Celebrities including Mariah Carey and Petra Marklund admire Chambres’ sensual femininity, and charming anecdotes—such as actor Tilda Swinton’s boyfriend coveting her gifted kimono—add to its allure.

What defines success post-coronavirus? Perhaps it’s the luxurious simplicity of learning to be happy just with a simple dress.

Part of ChambresSweden's philosophy is to create garments that embody easy care/easy wear, making every piece comfortable and glamorous, no matter the context. “People appreciate easy-to-wear, comfortable garments that work anywhere, all the time.”
